One for the Money (2012) is a crime comedy based on the best-selling novel by Janet Evanovich. The story revolves around Stephanie Plum, a New Jersey woman who has just found herself out of work and in financial trouble, and decides to take a job as a bounty hunter at her cousin's bail bond company, despite having no experience. Her first mission? To catch Joe Morelli, an ex-cop accused of murder... and also her ex-boyfriend. As Stephanie gets deeper into the case, she finds herself drawn into a world of danger, desire and the chaos of her new career. With the help of Ranger, a mysterious and experienced bounty hunter, she learns the trade as she gets closer to the truth behind the crime. Filled with quirky characters, unexpected twists and plenty of humour, the film combines action, romance and comedy in a light and entertaining way.
