Beca Mitchell, an introverted college student, arrives at Barden University and unexpectedly joins an all-female a cappella group, the Barden Bellas. The group tries to reclaim their former glory in the competitive world of music competitions.
As different personalities clash, a strong friendship gradually forms between them. Amidst rivalries, humour and creative musical performances, the Bellas prepare for a major competition where they must find their own unique sound.
