Lost in Translation is a film directed by Sofia Coppola that tells the story of two lonely people who meet in Tokyo. Bob Harris is a middle-aged American actor who travels to Japan to film a whiskey commercial, while Charlotte is a young newlywed who accompanies her husband, a photographer who is constantly busy with his work.

Both feel disoriented and emotionally lost in a strange city, surrounded by a language and culture they don't fully understand. Despite their differences in age and situation, Bob and Charlotte develop a unique and deep connection. Through heartfelt conversations, late-night walks through Tokyo, and shared moments of silence and reflection, they find solace in each other.

It is an intimate and melancholic story that stands out for its subtlety, its contemplative atmosphere and the chemistry between the protagonists, played by Bill Murray and Scarlett Johansson.
