Need for Speed is an action film set in the underground world of illegal car racing. Tobey Marshall (Aaron Paul) is a mechanic and street racer who is unjustly sent to prison for a crime he didn't commit, after a race goes wrong because of his rival Dino Brewster (Dominic Cooper). Upon his release from prison two years later, Tobey seeks revenge by participating in the highly dangerous “De Leon” race, organised by the enigmatic Monarch (Michael Keaton). Along his journey across America, he must escape the police and face extreme challenges to compete and redeem himself. The film is notable for its spectacular chase scenes shot with real cars and CGI-free stunts, combined with a charismatic cast and a taut narrative of betrayal and self-improvement.
